Task 1: Get favorite recipes/ meats from men before day of event. Gather supplies to make sauces/marinades.

Task 2: Get groceries as requested. Gather utensils. Par boil chicken/ other meat .

Task 3: Set up grill, (check gas) or light charcoal

Task 4: Gather residents, wheel those who need. Get aides to help.

Task 5: Cook, talk with men, ask about their best meal- eat (puree if needed)

Task 6: Clean up- thank everyone who helped

Conclusion Script:

Thank You for sharing your secret recipes with us today. There will be leftovers in the fridge just ask for them. Would you like to do this again?

Task 5: Count men as they get on bus making sure you have everyone( aides too) Return home

Task 6: Get everyone back to rooms, put away gear.

Hello gentlemen! Today we are having a ‘Battle of the Men’ competition. You guys are going to participate in a variety of games including ring toss, closest to the bulls eye, hoop shoot, putt putt golf, bucket toss and trivia. Each challenge is worth points. Whoever earns the most points after finishing all the challenges will be crowned the winner!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Program:

Task 1: Be sure to set up for activity and different stations in advance

Task 2: Thoroughly explain each station to all participants

Task 3: Get started! Be sure to assists those who need it

Task 4: Announce 3rd runner up, second runner up, and the winner. Give out prizes.

Task 5: Clean up.

Task 6: Remind group of upcoming activities.

Welcoming / Introduction Script:

Hello everyone! Today I will be breaking you guys in pairs so go ahead and pick a partner. You guys will be working as a team today and will be coming up with your own, individualized team name! That ought to be very interesting! We will be doing a variety of trivia categories and the group to accumulate the most amount of correct answers wins this awesome bag of goodies. First, I’m going to pass out some drinks and snacks and let you get to know your partner. We’ll get started in about 15 minutes so put on your thinking caps!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Program:

Task 1: Be sure to set up room in advance.

Task 2: Thoroughly explain activity to all participants

Task 3: Have them select partners. Assists those who need it. If there is an odd number, consider breaking them up into 3’s or 4’s. Also, have them create a team name.

Task 4: Trivia time! Be sure to keep track of all of their scores

Task 5: Tally up scores and announce winning group!

Task 6: Clean up time! Also, remind residents of upcoming events.

 

 

 

Conclusion Script:

Wow! That was a close call. In 3rd place is Team ______________. Sneaking past them, in 2nd place is Team ______________. Coming out on top, in 1st place is…Congratulations to Team ______________! You win this awesome prize bag full of goodies. All of you guys did great! That was a lot of fun and I look forward to doing that again sometime. Good evening, we are going to provide you with $20 dollars each of funny money. We have a list of horses up for racing in several horse race videos. In the first race we have the following horses racing . . . Please choose your horse and someone will be around to take your bets. the minimal bet is $1 funny money.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Program:

Task 1:

Set up the video

Task 2:

Write on the dry erase board who is racing (I make up horse names)

Task 3:

Set up the karaoke machine and instruct the speaker to say who is in what position throught the race and announce the winner at the end.

Task 4:

Have the men residents pick a horse to bet on. Have the men place bets

Task 5:

Play the video and have the announcer call the race

Task 6:

Provide the residents who picked the winning horse their money.

Assist the putter if needed and place the ball on the putter for the resident to swing at the golf ball.

Welcome, today we will be Constructing, Designing, and painting our own personal Bird House. This will require a few days of work due to drying of glue, paint and glaze. Most of you have shown interest in working with your hand so here you will be able to craft and use tool. At the end of the project we will have a vote from all our clients on the best birdhouse. The clients will vote on the birdhouse that is the best constructed and aesthetically pleasing.

 

Program:

Today we are going to visit a local old car show, where many collectors will be showing their historic cards. As you look around at the historic cars please take note of your favorite cars, and why. Make sure to let me or our other participating staff to take pictures of you especially with your favorite car. Lets all have fun!

Welcoming / Introduction Script:

Are you ready for some fishing? We’ve packed an awesome lunch, the weather is perfect; let’s go get those fish! I will introduce you to each other on the way; the fish await!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Program:

Task 1: Pack bus with all of the supplies. Don’t forget the lunch or fishing license!

Task 2: Gather men, load bus. Does everyone have all they need?

Task 3: Arrive at the dock on the St. Lawrence River, arrange chairs, set up fishermen.

Task 4: Sunscreen and hats for all.

Task 5: Fish for 45-60 minutes.

Task 6: Enjoy picnic lunch, head for home.

 

 

 

Conclusion Script:

I am sure glad I brought the camera with me! We sure did catch a lot of fish! Did you all have a wonderful time? What? You want to go again tomorrow? I am happy you all had a wonderful time!
