Hello Everyone,

I am new in this AD social Network and look forward to build professional relationships with each one of you. Please allow me to introduce myself and hoping to gain some helpful information and guidance on how to obtain an ADC, ADPC, or CTRS certification followed with the MEPAP I or II courses. But fist what is the difference between all tree certifications and which one is better?

I am from the beautiful Nations Capital of Washington, DC. Speak 3 languages; French, Italian and some Spanish. I currently obtain a position as an Activity Assistant working with the Recreation Therapy Department in a large senior living facility that provides long term care, assisted living, Dementia/Alzheimer's care, and independent living. So far I have approximately 3 years of experience working in this field, and recently graduated from UMUC with an MBA degree. In addition to my current position, I have a background experience in BS in Hotel Restaurant Management from UMES, Special Event Planning and coordination and other proven leadership experience; I have a great passion for seniors and enjoy doing what I do as a career especially after the 2008 recession, where I found myself reaching out for a career change.

Nevertheless, I would love to further my educational training to better my career opportunities and increase skills and knowledge by enrolling in one of the MEPAP courses, hoping to obtain in return some potential development growth within my field. I am in need of some true recommendations, guidance, and mentorship that will support me throughout this whole entire process. I believe that is in my calling to continue to serve the Elderly by using my skills, passion and talent to touch their everyday lives. I am determined to complete these courses and soon obtain my certification as an Activity Director.

In my free time I enjoy dinning out, traveling, coordinating special events, meeting people, and most importantly spending time with friends/residents and family.

Thank you for reading my long intro LOL..

Until then,

Bella
