mandymo 0 Report Share Posted September 10, 2008 Hi all. I've been a frequent reader, but this is my first post. I am sadly ending an eight and half year run at my current facility, as I am moving. This place is so very special to me and will be like leaving family. My administrator asked for my assisstance in finding the next AD. I am happy to do it, because I want to leave with the confidence that the programming will continue to grow and "my" residents will be well cared for. I figure the best place to begin this course of action is to write a good ad for the newspaper. Here's us in a nut-shell: 100 bed, private non-profit nursing home Great pay, great health / life insurance, lots of sick, vacation, holiday time, annual sick sell back, 401K, CEU's paid for, wheelchair van, 2 full time activity aides, 1 full time certified activity assistant, 1 person who works most evenings from 5-9PM, 1 part time weekend person, 1 part time music coordinator, huge conservatory where all of our programs take place, substantial activity budget, generous support from administrator and other departments to be creative (see why I hate to leave?!) We are seeking someone who is energetic, creative, organized, dynamic, caring, motivated and a self starter. Knowledge of MDS, care planning, progress notes a plus; managent experience a plus. Full time, one Saturday a month. Any ideas for an appropriate job description? What points should I stress? What is best left out? Also, do any of you have a co-director/co-coordinator situation? My Assistiant Director of Activities is ADC certified (did NCAAP track 5). Her strengths are in her work with the residents; she doesn't want my exact position; but she wants growth. Would be interested to know if anyone has a similar situation. Thanks in advance for any guidance you could offer. Also, if you are in the Montgomery County, MD area, and want to know more or know someone who is seeking employment and would fit the above, let me know. Post on this board or email me at luvedebeach@gmail.com Thanks guys!!!
