At Silverado Senior Living, we give LIFE to those affected by Alzheimer's and other memory impairing diseases. Currently, we are seeking an experienced Activities Director to join our Sugar Land assisted living community.

In this position you will develop, implement, supervise and participate in activities at our Sugar Land assisted living community. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is creative and enjoys working with the elderly. Ideal candidate will previous experience working in a residential, assisted living or skilled nursing setting and must be certified.

 

Activities Director job responsibilities include:

· Develop programs that meet the cognitive and physical abilities of residents in different stages of dementia.

· Conduct individual and group engagement activities for residents on a daily basis as well as special community events reflecting monthly themes and holiday events.

· Direct the activities programs and assign activity assistants and volunteers to implement the engagement programs

· Plan and coordinate regular off-site outings and related transportation needs
