Attention all activities directors in the Massachusetts area Boston area 

My name is Katherine Sally 

I am looking for a part time activities assistant In the nursing home 5 to 6 hours per week i have 20 years expierence in the activities assistant field 

I have experience working with the dementia residents in the memory care 

I bring the residents to the dining room 

I lead the residents with the activities example exercise bingo trivia

I do the coffee social and refreshments and the snack social with the residents 

I clean and I pick up after the residents and I throw the trash away in the barrel 

I do one to one room visits with the residents 

I get the dining room ready for bingo and I bring the residents to bingo and I run the bingo games with the residents from different floors to the dining room for bingo and I run bingo with the residents in the dining room and after bingo is over I bring residents back to their floors and i go to the dining room and I put the bingo cards and the bingo chips away in the bingo bins and I put the bingo stuff on the cart and I put it away in the activities closet and sometimes i put the bingo stuff in the cabinet I do sing along trivia games and bowling with the residents in the dining room and when it is a nice day out I bring the residents outside the patio with the other activities staff outdoor games and after the outdoor games are over me and the activities staff bring the residents back to their floor and put the activities stuff away in the activities closet or cabinets I do flower arranging with the residents in the dining room I put the vases on each table in the dining room and nurses station and room to room flower arranging and after flower arranging is over me and the activities staff bring the residents back where they belong cleaned the flower arranging stuff and I picked up the trash from each table in the dining room and I threw the trash and the flower arranging pieces away in the barrel 

when there is a big social event example  entertainment and birthday party ice cream socials I help the other activities serve the ice cream and the cake to each residents in the dining and I help the staff deliver the cake and the ice cream to each 

when there is entertainment I help set up and I move the tables and chairs out of the way so there is much space for the entertainer and the residents and I help the other activities assistants  gather the residents and I help the activities staff bring the residents to entertainment and entertain with the residents in the dining room and after entertainment is over I bring the residents back to their floor and I go back to the dining room and I helped the other activities assistants put the table and the chairs back to their place and when there is the ice cream socials and birthday parties socials I help the other activities staff pass out the birthday cake and ice cream and refreshments to each residents in the dining room and I help the other staff cut the birthday cake and scoop out the ice cream and I help the activities staff pour the refreshments to each residents in the dining room   and when there is a ice cream social I help the other activities staff pass out the birthday cake and ice cream and the refreshments to each resident room to room in their floors and when the birthday party is through i help the other activities staff bring the residents back to floors and I help the other staff picked up the trash from each table in the dining room and I help the other throw the trash away in the barrel and the ice cream social I help the other pass out the refreshments and the ice cream to each residents in the dining room and I help the staff scoop the ice cream and pour the refreshments to each residents in the dining room and I help the other staff pass out the ice cream and the refreshments to each residents room to room if the residents cannot go to the ice cream social and after the ice cream social is over I help the other staff bring the residents back where they belong and I help the other staff pick up the trash from each table in the dining room and I help the other staff throw the trash away in the barrel and I help the staff put the stuff on the cart aafter the monthly birthday parties and the ice cream socials are over I bring the cart down to the kitchen and I documented for the morning portion and the afternoon portion and I took the Alzheimer’s training and I have experience working with residents who have dementia and I do the activities with the dementia residents I pass out refreshments and snacks and coffee  to each residents in the dining room and I pass out the snacks to each residents in the dining room in the dementia unit and I picked up the trash from each table in the dining room and i threw the trash away in the dining room in the dementia unit and i gather the residents I do the morning greeting and I orient the residents and tell the resident what day is it today and the date too  I put the residents in the circle for exercise with music and ball toss and after I did the exercise with ball toss i put the residents back to their tables in the dementia  unit for lunch and afternoon portion I spend time with the residents in the dementia unit and I pass out refreshments and snacks to each table to the residents in the dementia unit and I put the snacks and the refreshments away in the cabinets and in the fridge and I put away the snacks and the refreshments and I put the coffee back on the cart I put the residents in the circle for the afternoon activities and I run the activities with the residents in the dementia unit I do sing along i play games with the residents in the dementia unit and do bowling with the residents in the dementia unit and after I did the activities with the residents In the dementia unit I put the residents back where they belong and I put the activities supplies away in the activities closet in the dementia unit also I do the residents nails manicures I file the nails and I paint the female residents nail polish on their fingers to make them look beautiful and when it is a nice day outside I take the dementia residents outside to the patio in the dementia for some games with the residentS who have dementia and I do trivia sing along and ball toss and ballon toss with the residents   and proverbs and i pass the ball around or the balloon around to each residents in the patio area In the dementia unit and after I did the games with the residents in the dementia unit I brought the residents back to the dining room in the dementia unit and I put the stuff back in the closet in the dementia area I deliver the mail to each residents room to room in each unit I do sensory with the residents who is non verbal I cannot work a eight hour shift in activities I could only work 5 to 6 hours a day part time activities assistant in the nursing home activities directors in the Massachusetts area and in the Boston area or close by if you have a opening for a part time activities assistant 5 to 6 hour shift per day please let me know right away email address is kajansal@aol.com sincerely Katherine J Sally
