Hi Stacy There are several thousand CDP's in the United States, Canada and Austrailia. As there are over 75% dementia clients living in long term care, it is essential that staff are trained to provide competent care to the dementia clients. Certification means you are trained in Alzheimer's and Dementia Care and that traning was comprehensive and provided by a live instructor approved by the NCCDP.
