JL_CTRS

Hello everyone, I work FT M-F for a Senior Mental Health Center, with per diem staff filling in on the weekends. Unfortunately, we have had two of our per diem staff resign due to finding FT positions. Does anyone know if there is a Registry for Recreation Therapists, CTRS, and/or Activity Directors to assist in finding temporary help? Any information you might have would greatly be appreciated. Hello everyone, I just learned of this term as well. I am a CTRS however, in our sub acute levels, we have activity directors but they are referred to as Activity Therapists which suprises me. When I first became a CTRS (6 years of intensive college, field works, and internships), all an activity director had to do was to complete a 36 hour course with really no 'therapeutic'/ hands on training. So I do not understand the title of therapist. I plan on researching this and will post back on what I find out. Sincerely, JL_CTRS California
