Memorial Day is May 31st.

Here is a cute and very easy tabletop centerpiece for your residents to make.

 

You will need:

 

Tall vase/or glass jar

Red,White,and Blue sand (available at craft stores or Wal-mart)

Star Garland(available at party supply stores)

 

Directions:

Give each resident a jar or tall vase.Let them put a layer of red sand,then white sand,then blue sand and keep doing it up to the top of the vase(leave about an inch at the top),then wrap the garland around the vase.thats it.

I would not have these on the tables at alzheimers/dementia units(the residents might eat the sand.)Gina :-)

P.S-If you want to get fancy,add glitter to the sand.
