Overview:

 

Plan, develop, organize,implement, evaluate and direct the Activity program in accordance with currentexisting federal and state standards as well as establish policies andprocedures to assure that the spiritual, emotional, recreational and socialneeds of each resident are met/maintained on an individual basis. Demonstratesprofessional growth and development. Uses good judgment. Utilizes patient caresupplies/equipment in a fiscally responsible manner. Exhibits positiveinterpersonal skills.

 

Qualifications:

 

Mustbe a graduate of a diploma or GED and possess an Activities DirectorsCertification. Related experience preferred. Must have a basic understanding ofthe needs of the elderly and have an empathetic approach to illness; a basicknowledge of a variety of activities; ability to give instructions and redirectothers; and ability to lead.
