aRBeRec 0 Report Share Posted January 31, 2008 So I'm a new AD and I came from a Jewish Facility, so I never had to worry about Easter or St. Patricks Day. This year they had to both be in March. Sould I decorate St. Patty's and change it to Easter on the 18th or combine they two (which may be ugly).? I know this seems pretty silly but I would like to here what others are doing. I'm used to one theme a month.
turtle 0 Report Share Posted February 1, 2008 We will be decorating the facility for Spring but will change out the table centerpieces for St. Patty's Day decor on the 17th for the day. It is the only thing we could come up with so that we did not have to decorate everything twice this month. I do agree that combining the decorations for the two holidays would probably look a little odd. Maybe ask the residents what they think..they always have an opinion about how things should be decorated (well, at least mine do).
trixiedg 0 Report Share Posted February 1, 2008 You know, I had not even thought about the fact that St. Paddy's Day and Easter are basically a week apart. We do Mardi Gras here, so we will have Valentine's Day and Mardi Gras a week apart this month. That will be two months in a row for me to have to plan and fund two events during the month. Well, I guess it may just have to be fundraiser time again. This is why I love what I do. Plan Plan! Party Party!
