Guest Guest_anna Report Share Posted January 26, 2006 i too am in houston. i recently went to the conference in college station. it was great! anyways while i was there i found a book called "care plan cookbook" and it has really helped me out alot since this is my first time ever working as an a.d. and i'm just in the process of starting my activity basic class. the main thing to do it to point out the main "problems" that the resident has: -vision impairments -hearing loss -social anxiety . . .to name a few address how you are going to go about trying to help the resident with these issues from activity standpoint. . .this is also a great place to work with nursing staff to help address problems. . . . . .then make sure you set a measureable goal. hope this helps!
