  1. I have a problem and in need of advice about the resident council. I work at a rehab facility and our Social Services thinks they can just attend a resident council meeting uninvited and talk about what they want to and I explained to them that the resident council is about the residents who have concerns that needs to get resolved and they said but still we can control the council if we attend. Well I am an Activity Director and I feel that the resident council is to protect my residents rights. I was instructed by my mentor that a person can not invite their selves to the council and talk about what they want to so I really don't know how to handle this situation. My Administrator seems to think that the Social Services can take control of the resident council rather than an Activity Director? Please help me to figure this out... Thank You, Edna
