  1. Hi. I know this post will be years later, but I am currently taking the MEPAP1 to become a Certified Activities Director (CAD) and I need to post on here for part of the final. This activity can be used for men only, but I use it for both men and women on the Alzheimer's Unit. We play a gamed called "Roll the Dice". Every participant gets a paper with the numbers 2-12 on them and a pen or marker. I use a pair of red oversized plastic dice. Every player rolls the dice and crosses off the number they roll. The first player to cross of the #'s 2-12 first wins a prize. The residents enjoy counting the number rolled as it is simple math and a skill they have used their whole lives. I make it into a "gambling" game, which the residents enjoy!
