Hi,
I am looking to meet and talk with activity professionals in Florida.I live in the South Florida area. There are so many different corporations down here that own Nursing homes. I would be interested to hear about your experiences working for them.

Hey I live in Florida, not south florida though, I lived down there before I went to college and worked in one nursing home but not in activities. Let me know if I can help with anything. Heather

:-) I recently moved to Florida from nebraska i just took an activities director position at an alzheimers home we have 6 residents and am looking for some ideas to keep them busy i have lots of ideas but an always looking for more .. thanks have a great day

Welcome to Florida ! I also work with Alzheimers in a day center.We have 45 clients.email me at barbara.feldman@alz.org and we can share ideas.Where in Fl do you work?
We have an excellent program going but its always fun to get new ones. :hammer:

Be sure to check on your local Florida Health Care Activities Coordinators Association (FHCACA) chapter. They usually meet once a month and have good networking. Let me know if you need to find your local contact. FHCACA does have a website that will help you find your local chapter.

My name is Jillian and I live in Nashville, TN and have wanted to move to Florida. I am ADPC and just need to continue my work experience hours and CEUs. If anyone has any leads t jobs in Florida please assist me. Florida is a booming state in the nursing home industry. I have worked in the industry for two years and work all aspects, including, programming, calendars, MDS assessments, care plans, volunteer opportunities, etc. I appreciate anyone's input!
