Since we started teaching the online CEU's we have had alot of interest. So it got me wondering where Ad's in other states get thier CEU's. I was also wondering for those who are not certified what type of Continuing Education is given to them through thier workplace.

Don't forget if you know of any CEU's being put on in your state let us know so we can post the info in our state forum.

So let me know what you guys have been doing. I have been over the last 6 years going to local workshops given by a friend of mine. I have also attended state conventions for ceus and have taken some online ceus as well.

Thanks
Karen

Hi, I work in a hospital in Texas as the swingbed coordinator and activities director. I have been getting CEU's online on our healthnet. I have printed out all of my certificates showing my hours for my CEU"S but I don't know who to send them to so I can get credit and recertification. Can anyone help me? I would really appreciate it. Thanks, Kristy

Kristy,

Are you ADC or CTRS?
That will help me formulate an answer to your question.

I am CRS/TXC. Hope that helps. Also, I cannot find anywhere in my notes about how many CEU hours I need for recertification. I think it is 8. This was my first year as certified, and some of the nurse's think I shouldn't have to do CEU's on my first year. I think I do. Can you verify this for me Tinky? Thanks for all the help, Kristy

Hey Kristy,

You need 20 hours of CEUs every two years! If you need more help go to www.ctratx.org and you can contact the org to make sure you are on the right track. If you have more questions email me at kconnelly@activitydirector.net

Hope that helps,
Karen

Are there any online courses to take? I heard that there are some so we can save time and get certificate.
